A gallon of 1% milk is $3.47 at Redners Warehouse Markets in Hickory

It may cost you a little more in gas to get to the new Redner's Warehouse Markets store that opened last month in the Hickory Village Shopping Center, but you may be able to make it up on savings on groceries. I'm pretty sure they have the best price on milk in the Bel Air area. I picked up a gallon of 1% for $3.47 last week. Yesterday, the same gallon cost me $3.75 at Weis.

This Blog is another great idea!

I love deals and just wanted to mention a couple in the area. #1 - The GoodWill on Bel Air Rd. is a hidden treasure if you have never been there. It is best to go with out kids as there is lots to see & touch! The last Saturday of the month all of the clothes are 50% off. So plan on leaving early as the lines can get pretty big. Also for those of you who were not aware of this they also get all of our local Target items that are either out of season or did not sell. They have a special of the day and when you purchase something you will receive a scratch off card good for a discount on your next purchase.

#2 - ALDI off of Route 40. I pass by this store every time that I go to my great dentist Dr. Roth at Chesapeake Contemporary Denistry. Anyway the Logo is not very appealing but the prices are! I recently talked my husband into going after we were visiting some relatives in Erie, PA and they were telling us about this great store where they find Hazelnut coffee creamer for $1.47 or something like that under $2.00. So I tasted the creamer and could not tell the difference from my Hazelnut Coffeemate that I am paying close to $4.00 every 2 weeks. That's right they have an ALDI in Erie. So our experience was better than my husband had expected. Please keep in mind that you have to bring your own bags or boxes. Get a cart and when you check out the cashier is quick and she will load everything into an empty cart and then you can just move that cart with the items to the counter and load up your bags. This is definitely worth checking out this week. They also have produce and since it is a German Company have Authentic German Mustard and Sausages which we had on the grill tonight and they were wonderful!

#3 - C-Mart in Joppatowne. This trip is about 15 minutes from Bel Air but it can be worth the drive if you happen to buy Stridrite shoes for your children for $15. C-mart also has new online shopping and they have a weekly email highlighting the deals of the week. Some of their clothes I think are totally over priced but we have gotten some good deals there on mattresses, shoes and some furniture which is top of the line. Right now they are having a 50 % and more sale on the entire store - I am sure it is worth it!

I think the price was a grand opening special, because yesterday 7/15 it was $3.76 for 1% at Redners. The only time I paid $3.47 at Redners for my milk was the day they opened.

I find the best deal at Safeway in Greenbriar,if you buy 2 you get it for $7, so it equals $3.50 each, but you must buy 2 to get that price.

Thanks for the tip, Betsy! I almost always buy 2 gallons, so that should work for me. Giant is offering a buy 6 gallons get the 7th free deal, which is also pretty good.
